This project is the largest optical storage integration project invested by Oregon in Gamba County in China, and was listed in the "first batch of photovoltaic energy storage demonstration projects" by the Development and Reform Commission of the Xizang Autonomous Region. The total investment of the project is 690 million yuan. It is a fully energy storage configuration, adopting a block power generation and centralized grid connection scheme. The energy storage system is equipped with a charging power of 40MW and an effective energy storage capacity of 193MWh. Lithium iron phosphate batteries are used for energy storage. The project has a design and operation period of 25 years, with an average annual power generation of 72.1175 million kWh and an annual utilization hours of 1833 hours. Meanwhile, this is also one of the highest altitude and largest installed capacity integrated optical storage projects in the world.
On September 30, 2020, the Gangba County 40MW photovoltaic power generation+193MWh energy storage power station project invested by Oregon was successfully connected to the grid.
